Point Break of the Speed Matrix

I’m taking Keanu to Montana.  Will he function there?  Keanu means “cool breaze over the mountain tops” so I am assuming he will be right at home.

I am headed out West for a wedding and will be meeting my friend “Gordon Lightfoot”  in Minneapolis for our connection flight to Billings tomorrow.  Gordon lives in Michigan and we met in 2001 at my Rock Center job.  We shared an office and hated every miserable day that we were there.  This is my second trip cross-country with Gordon.  We went to Vegas in July 2002 because we thought it would be amazing to go to the desert in the summer. 

Highlights from that trip: 

Driving through the desert and shouting the lyrics to “Blaze of Glory”.

Free water aerobics every day at the Mirage pool. 

Missing our flight home.

Splitting my pants.

Gordon is by FAR one of the smartest and funniest people I know.  When I asked about a recent trip to the shoe department at Loehmann’s during a “one day sale”, Mr. Lightfoot turned and said with no emotion, “It looked like the fall of Saigon in there.”

I am looking forward to our next adventure in the Old West.
